Why is everyone commenting on this thread from 2018?

AFAIK, paper applications are not being accepted by VFS centers and everyone must apply through the GC key/IRCC portal. For reference, I applied for my mom (who has valid B2 visa) on 7 Nov 2021, biometrics done on 2 Dec 2021 and no update since then. Not sure if CAN+ even works during the pandemic.

If anyone was able to get the visa faster, please update here.

Hey @Kiara02. I applied on 25 Dec,2021. I got an update on 18 Jan,2022 in which status have been changed to reviewing your eligibility. Moreover, I got medical request on the same day. My medical got updated on 24 Jan,2022. I got no update after that..
