can one travel while waiting for visitor status to be restored?

Hello my friends, I have a question to ask for your advice.

I have applied for visitor status restoration and am now waiting for my application to be approved. However, it is very slow (I submitted restoration application last November and still no answer). I need to travel this May and was wondering if I can do that? I know technically one has to wait until the restoration is approved, but nowadays the world is in a special situation and everything needs to be re-considered.

You can leave without receiving restoration. You should inform IRCC if you have not received the restoration by then. Coming back to Canada may be the issue.

Thank you very much for reminding me to contact IRCC - this is an excellent idea! I just submitted an IRCC form explaining my situation. Hopefully they will get back to me soon!
