Folks, just reviving this posting to see where we stand on getting PR despite being obese.
Appreciate everyone who participated in this forum before post their experience and current status.

I am a Cost & Management Accountant (ACMA) have applied in the category of Accountant. I ve received Medical Two days ago. Can anybody help regarding the following inquisitions:

1. What LAB TEST they conduct
2. I am Obese person (105 Kg). Is this can cause rejection
3. Do they intimate if medical assessment goes unsuccessful
4. How Long they will take to issue VISA if Medicals are cleared. My consultant (Lalani & Associates) has given eight months (approx) time after getting medically assessed.
5. Will my 2 years kid be assessed?

1. What LAB TEST they conduct Laboratory Sampling (Blood test, Urine Test and X-rays), Physical examination, Eye Test (with glasses), Blood Pressure
2. I am Obese person (105 Kg). Is this can cause rejection No
3. Do they intimate if medical assessment goes unsuccessful Yes, they will order further test (at your own expense), they won't tell you if you pass
4. How Long they will take to issue VISA if Medicals are cleared. My consultant (Lalani & Associates) has given eight months (approx) time after getting medically assessed. This depends on many factors.. If your background checks are completed it can be issued in a few months after medicals
5. Will my 2 years kid be assessed? Yes

Yes if you are a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) from Canada then you will be in demand .

However if your Pakistani credentials do not get you a Canadian CPA directly and you do not want to go through the whole process of getting a CPA from scratch, then you may have challenges finding a job here, even if you do one of those certification courses that guarantee a job in Canada (it is all a scam).

No, obesity by itself is not cause for rejection. The causes for medical rejection are

1. You have a disease/condition that will cost more than $20,000 a year to treat
2. You have a highly contagious disease and are a danger to public health
3. You have a condition that makes you a danger to public safety.
