Can my wife sponsor me in the future if I fail to meet the residency requirement

My Family and myself are permanent residents of Canada since 2009 , but due to some reason, I need to stay out of Canada and leave my wife and kid.
1- Can my wife sponsor me in the future if I fail to meet the residency requirement?
2- If YES: what is the requirements?

If she maintained the PR status, she will be eligible to sponsor you being her spouse.
