Hi,
I am doing PhD in USA. My wife came from home country to visit me. She has been staying with me for last six months and will go back to home country. Before returning to home country, she is planning to visit my brother and his wife in Canada. In Canada, my brother is at work permit and will apply for PR and his wife is Canadian Citizen. His wife is sending my wife invitation letter for visit. My wife and my father-in-law will show their own bank statement back in home country for the expense.
My Parent are in Refugee status in CANADA waiting for PR card. Now how she should apply? Can she show her bank statement of home country? Which should be her present address during application?
Can my spouse apply from US (while visiting me for short term) for Canada visitor visa?

1. She has left her TRV application for Canada too late. Applying from a third country like the US where she has temporary status, might result in longer processing time and/or background checks.

2. Applying from the US again is not advisable because she has no ties to the US. Canada is looking for those strong reasons for someone to return home.

3. As she has been living in the US since six months + with you as her spouse, it implies her ties to her home country are weak or non-existent.

4. Unfortunately, your parents' refugee status only further reduces her chances of a TRV approval

5. She can certainly try though. BTW her bank statements from her home country might not work if she cannot access those funds in the US, or prove that she has those funds for her visit to Canada

Thank you so much for valuable information. She is showing 55000 USD worth bank statement. So now for her better chance of getting visitor visa, what is your best suggestion to follow please?
