Hi so I live in Lebanon and we were thinking to move as a family there. But one of the many problems we faced was that my dad has/had multiple myeloma. Its a type of cancer. My mom had breast cancer as well but its been 5 years and she's cancer-free. My dad is 53 years old and my mom is 48. Now, my dad was diagnosed 5 years ago and the thing is multiple myeloma isn't fully curable. So my question is IF hypothetically we did move can my parents apply for the universal healthcare if not, can we apply for insurance from a private insurance firm? if yes, how much do you think it would cost a month or per year etc... (sorry if i went into details but its just that i really want to know)

Thanks

What stream are you trying to come to Canada under? I think it would be very hard for your parents to qualify under Express Entry.

When you apply to immigrate, you have to pass a medical to demonstrate that you won't be a burden on Canada's health care system.

Based on the information you've provided, your father probably won't pass the medical. If he doesn't pass the medical - your family's entire application will be refused.
