Hello forumites!

I am about sending my PNP PR application to CIO Sydney in Nova Scotia but I am worried that one of dependents that have been approved is currently studying in my home country while I am right here in Australia where I have been legally admitted for more than a year. I am planning to choose CIC office in Sydney Australia as the Immigration Office requested for the processing of my application.

I just want to know if my dependent will be able to have his medical examination back in my home country as well as have visa stamped on his passport here in Australia CIC office? I am just a little confused about as chances are high that I may not be to travel to my country to bring him here.

Your advice will be appreciated.

Yes - your dependent can the medical examination done in the home country. Look for a Panel Physician serving the home country here - http://www.cic.gc.ca/pp-md/pp-list.aspx

As to visa stamping, if there are no restrictions in sending the passport across countries, the PPs are submitted and the visas are usually stamped at the office where the application is processed. If there are restrictions or unavoidable hindrances, you can request to have the PPs submitted and visas issued at the visa office serving the home country, for those dependents.

Search in the forum - there are other threads on "visa stamping in other office" that have discussed this...
