Hello Friends,
First of all Thanks fo reading this post.

I am in canada for last 4 years and I am being paid salary in home country and all the expenses in Canada which includes daily allwance for food, Laundry, Rental Car, House and insurance. As per tax policy in Canada, Companies do not need to pay taxes on expenses and hence my Company pays taxes only on income received in Home country, which is for sure low and just 20000 CAD for NOC 2171. Do you think this can be a reason of rejection? My application is already pending second review as per GCMS notes.

Thanks again for your help.

Did you file taxes in Canada?

your T4 should show the income earned during your stay in Canada, which should be more than 20000 CAD per annum.
Also you should be paid under Canadian payroll to avail PR.

Hi Friends,
Yes I paid taxes in Canada on 20000 CAD every year and got T4/NOA as well, however my payslip is generated in India though.

What was located in boxes 30, 36, and 40 of your T4s?

All the three lines 1750 CAD, not sure what this line means

Typically those are the boxes for taxable benefits, which are paid in lieu of salary but taxable to the employee. Looks like your company isn't doing that however.

Were your allowances included in your reference letter (and were they valued)?

It's so nice to see you helping others even after you have already landed. People like you make the world a better place to live, thanks and +1

I think the key in your case is that the benefits are stated by your employer (i.e. so it is clear as the terms of employment what benefits you get from employment). That should help the visa officer correlate your low wage with the average from the NOC code for your market.

Thanks My friend for all the help. I hope it goes through.

Hi friend the NOC code 2171 has base salary per hour.... If you can go on LMO sire and check the basic salary for this code may gives you more details.

CIC check your salary based on Code you have applied on. If you check this may give you more info on it.

Hi Bouncer,
Check in T4 below in other information Box case-31 or any box case- which includes amount as non taxable amount for the allowances paid in Canada
This amount plus your taxable amount of 20K would be total salary paid to you.

thanks,
