Can I write in Present Occupation " Family Business"

Hi everyone,

I resigned my job two years ago and I'm currently occupied with the family business but I don't have any official document to prove it. What should I write under Present Occupation? I can't write student because I finished school years ago.

I would indicate what type of work is done by the family business. indicating family business implies you are sitting around doing nothing all day...

Is it better to write unemployed, and explain it in the letter?
