Can I Work before the start of Program in September?

I have a valid study permit and visa until December(already applied extension). I am done with my first program in April and Now I am starting another program in September.I am now registered in all my courses in the program starting on 31st August 2017(start date on acceptance letter but classes are from 5th September). I also got my full timetable. So Can I work right now part time/full time?
I got the transfer from one Store to another and they have openings now I am afraid that they could deny my transfer if they will not have openings in the end of August. So I am thinking of starting from 15th August. Is it fine?

I don't fully understand the 2nd paragraph. But the answer is you can work full time before your school starts ( before the date of the 1st class should be all right I suppose), once you go back to school, you can do whatever you want, but max 20 hrs/wk.

Well I think you cannot work at any point because OP is between programs right now and not on a schedule break so therefore is not a full time student until they start attending classes on September 5th.

what is ur status from april to now? when did u apply for study permit extension? U cannot work until ur registered for the new program.
