Hi! I'm a dual citizen, Philippines and US, and am processing my PR while residing in the Philippines. My common law partner is Canadian and we plan to move to Canada mid-July. I'm just wondering while they are assessing or processing my PR can I wait for it in Canada and stay there using my US passport? I know usually you have show to your documents at the port of entry so I just wanted to check if this can be done in Canada for my PR visa?

Thank you!

You'd need a visitors visa I believe, which lasts ip to 6 months :) if I'm wrong - please correct me!
