Can I use the same police certificate for my PR application that I used for my Visa application?

Hello,

I applied and was granted an open work permit in 2015. Can I also use the same US police certificate for my PR application? I have not lived in the US since that police certificate was issued in 2015 and have only lived in Canada. I was invited to apply but have not submitted the application.

If the issue date of the police certificate is after the day you last lived in the US (after you have left the US), then you can use it.
If the police certificate was issued while you were in the US, then you will need a new police certificate.
