Can I use PNP Nomination Certificate to apply for OHIP?

Hello guys,

I just got nominated in Ontario. Can I use the nomination certificate to apply for OHIP (Ontario Health Insurance Plan)?

I heard that it may be possible in some cases to get OHIP card without having actual PR card.

Please help, I am currently uncovered, totally !

Hi narmer1986,

I am sorry but I have no idea about it. However, the best way is to contact OHIP itself. They should be able to tell you the exact answer.

And, just wait for a day...so that any senior may reply to your query.

I think nomination itself does not make you eligible for OHIP
 
why dont you use your work permit..in case you dont have wp..wait till u get ur wp...
 
I think one needs to be on a full-time permanent job to be eligible for OHIP..
