I am on a Post graduate Work Permit and had 9 Months (40 hr/week) of Canadian Work Experience before I got laid off last year due to COVID19. I recently started working for a new employer (less than a month ago). Both the Jobs come under NOC A category and are Full time positions.
My Questions are
1. Do I need to show that I have work experience for 12 months, or can I just show 1560 hrs? As my previous experience comes to 1440 hrs (40 hrs * 4 weeks in a month * 9 months), Can I just add another 120 hrs in my new job to be eligible?

2. Since I just started working for my new employer (still under probation period), Can I use the Offer Letter instead of experience letter in my application?

Thanks

As for calculating work experience, you need to make sure that you are not calculating your work period as 40 hrs per week because IRCC only calculates 30 hours per week max. You will have to do the detailed calculation on your own, but if I roughly calculate using 1 month = 4 weeks, your hour comes down to 1080 hours (30*4*9). So you will definitely need additional 480 hours to cover up the hours (roughly 3 months).

Lastly, you must use the experience letter that the IRCC requests you to have. If you just use the Offer letter, your application will be for sure rejected.

There are many applicants in the forum who got rejected because they used offer letter instead of the experience letter from the employer. So make sure you have the right format of the letter before sending it for review. Hope this helps.

I Guess you are right. It makes sense now.
Also is there anything else I need to submit other than my experience letter to show my work experience?
The information really Helped.
Thank you

You can send in paystubs along with the experience letter.
