Can I use my CSQ as student for my application as Skilled worker???

A friend of mine is studying a one year French course in Montreal and has a CSQ. He is planning to apply for the residence as skilled worker. He has more points than needed. His question would be if he can use his CSQ that he got to study in Montreal for his application as a skilled worker.

1. Thats odd, as students are issued a CAQ to study in Quebec.
