i came to canada in sept/2018 on study permit. for 1yr program.with permission to work 20hrs a week..Since my arrival i never worked. Now i got offer of a fulltime job for 44hrs/week.
MAY i do online courses and work the 44hrs since i never worked and actually have 240hrs available to me left since i never worked in SEPT=20x4=80hrs/ OCT=20hrsx4=80/NOV=20hrsx4-80?
Will CIC know if i was physically in class or i did it online and worked fulltime?
Also i had 2 days off with no classes

No, its 20 hours per week maximum. Also if you do majority online courses you will not be elligable for PGWP.

appreciate the reply.so since i never used 240hrs dont i have that available to me still? or its my tough luck i never used the 240hrs?

Use it or lose it...

the option is there to do it online or attend class tho..SOOOO..how will CIC know that student actually attended class or did it online?
Attendance is not taken from my obseravation

Do you have a work permit? You can't work full-time on a study permit unless it is during a scheduled break.

It will be marked on your transcript that you were stuyding online. And IRCC will likely then suspect you were working illegally, which you seem to be planning to do no matter what you are told.

If you break the rules, you will only screw yourself over.

I second this. You are only going to put yourself into a bigger problem later on if you apply for PGWP, PR etc. If you don't want to study then apply for a work permit and then withdraw from your course, why search for such loopholes.

thanks for the warning...NOOOO..i will definately follow the rules!
i think about all the students that got denied study permits and how lucky i was to get mine
i wont screw up my future!

There is no such thing as 240 hours, its 20 hours each week, your transcript will most likely indicate that your classes were online, what school is this? Are you sure its PGWP eligible?

I actually was told this nonsense by others at clubs/bars/parties..so its good i checked this forum for the truth
**what i understand NOW is that i DID NOT work for 3months..that 240hrs is NOT unused.its NOT SAVED hours...now as long as im on a study permit i can only work 20hrs/week. unless its a study break.Centennial College doing a 1yr ADVANCED course.study permit valid until /2020

Correct. The hours are not 'saved'. You can work up to 20 hours per week (no more) while you are studying.
