Can I use Arranged Employment since I'm short of 1 mark?

I submitted my single package for migration in May 2007 and after 4 years' of waiting. I was only been informed since I'm short of 1 mark, I did not meet the requirements of a PR. I've submitted a letter from Dr. Simon Ngui on Aug 31, 2011. Dr. Ngui had consented to employ me and with this Arranged Employment, I trust my application has met the requirements of a PR in Canada. Please advise in my present situation. Thank you.

Sorry to hear that you missed the eligibility by just 1 point. Yes, you could send your PR application with AEO which will fetch you more points than you require. The employer has to go through all the processes of filing an AEO for you with HRSDC...this process is time consuming (6 months and over).

Please do remove the personal information of your employer (NAME) from your post.

1. It sounds like the OP was refused for lack of points. An AEO is pointless at this stage, if the application was refused. S/he would have to apply with a valid AEO under FSW2 not FSW1. An AEO takes 6+ months for approval.

That's what I meant ...a fresh AEO and thus mentioned the current timelines to get one through HRSDC.
