Can i travel outside canada on TRV that i obtained when i was student?

Can i travel on my TRV (valid until end of next year) that says "Student"? as i obtained that when i was in university?
I have now PGWP ,so should i apply again for TRV ? as the immigration document may say "oh ! but you are not a student anymore ,why your visitor visa still says "STUDENT " although i can show PGWP.But they are concerned with TRV usually and not the other documents.

Please help as i am planning to travel .
So that in worst case i apply again for TRV

note :all my docs are valid and not expiring anytime sooner

As long as the TRV is valid, you can use it to re-enter Canada.
