Can I take Real Estate Courses while on a Open Work Permit?

Hi Seniors,

First, I would like to thank everyone for helping on this forum. I have a question and if you can help I would really appreciate it.

I want to enroll in a real estate course from OREA(Ontario Real Estate Association) College. Basically, I will have to submit the application to get the admission in the OREA college. Once enrolled, I have 18 months to finish 3 courses before I start selling houses etc.

My question is, can I take those classes without notifying CIC as I am on a open work permit. Also, I am waiting for the response from CIC for my PR as I applied in OCT 2014 under CEC. What would be your suggestions here.

Just go through the open work permit it says

Unless authorize , prohibited from attending any educational institution or taking any academic, professional or vocational training course.

just wait for couple of months, you would be getting PR soon.

you are allowed to study for a maximum of 6 months without a study permit. After the 6 months you will need a study permit in order to be able to attend courses.
