Hi there,
I am new here in canadaVisa forum , i live in the uk.
i have heard about the express entry immigration system, which allows applicant to move to canada on the skilled work basis.

My experience is as a Principal Process/Chemical Engineer with over 16 years experience.
I have done ielts exam,, reading 7 , listening 6.5, writing 7 and speaking 7.5 bands.
I have done bachelors in chemical engineering from Nigeria and Master degree (Petroleum & Gas Engineering) in the UK. I have done the credential assessment for both my bachelors and maters degrees by ICAS of Canada.
I am 41 years old and i am married with 5 dependent children. I have completed my express entry profile but a lawyer told to include an IELTS test result for my wife as well since i did not score 8 & above in my IELTS to increase my chances. My express entry profile has 6 days remaining from today and the next available date for the IELTS test for my wife is 30/09/2017. Please, should i submit my express entry now?. When my wife's IELTS test result comes out say, by middle of October, 2017 then i can update my profile include my wife's IELTS result.

Can you guys tell me please what i should do. I really need this help.

Thanks guys

You can edit your profile with your wife's score later on.

If your lawyer doesn't know this I'd be really careful with him/her.

DelPiero07,

Many thanks for your prompt response. You mean i can submit my express entry application now and update my profile later even when i have already submitted it in the express entry pool?

Correct, you can update it at any time after submitting your profile, your score will then be updated within 24 hrs.

I need to create an Express Entry profile to boost my score in a PNP. I have filled my part but did discover that I have to fill the education part for my wife. ECA was requested but is not available now. I would have to apply for her transcript and do the ECA and would take a long time and my Express Entry profile would have been closed by then.

1. Can I answer NO to my spouse EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS now since I am the principal applicant and my own part has been filled?
2. Would I be able to edit and add my spouse ECA report when it is ready seeing I have already answered NO?

Would really appreciate speed answer. Am in fix right now.

yes, but you wont be able to claim points till you add her ECA.

Continuing the above question -
My wife (primary) has ielts score and ECA, I (secondary) have ielts score, but ECA not received yet and ETA is 20 days from now. Can my wife create her primary applicant profile with all her docs and add me as secondary applicant ? Would she have to upload IELTS and ECA documents for me? If not, then can she mention my actual IELTS score and my tentative ECA result e.g. 2/more degree (which I will highly likely receive) for now? Or she will have to select my educational qualification as "NoNe"? Later once i get my ECA, can she update her profile to upload my ECA / update my eca result based on actual?

You can update profile. If your spouse doesn’t have completed ECA or IELTS, you can only add once you have them.
