Hello guys,

I am very unsure about all the application process. Now, I am currently in Canada and thinking to register a program so that I can work for part-time.

Can I apply for a study permit with my partner’s financial support? I mean, can I provide his employment letter and say that we are going to apply for common-law sponsorship very soon?

If I get support from one of my family members instead, what kind of document should be provided?

Thank you in advance!!

Hi

It is too late to get admission and a study permit for winter semester. You could try for a summer semester start in May. Also note that you would need to show around $25,000. Applying for sponsorship would be completely irrelevant to a study permit app.

Hi,
Thanks for your information.

I am planning to apply for 6+6 co-op program, not for the regular study. I am wondering if I need to show $10,000 or $833*6.
Because there is a section that I need to tell who is going to support you. Can I put my partner’s name?

Don't know what a 6+6 co-op program is. You can put your partner as your supporter and reduce your tuition amount but you still need to show cash upfront.

6+ 6 co-op program means 6 months of in-class course with 6 months of paid internship.
