I came here like 4 months ago with an LMIA, a tfw, but lately I decided to go back to school, but not in my country of origin, I wanted to study here in Canada. I did an inquiry to some colleges here but cannot get a straight from them... So what I wanted to know is that, Can I study here in Canada while on work permit or do I have to change my status or apply for a student permit before I can get to study. And If I do so, am I gonna' go back to my country of origin for me to apply for a student permit or can I apply for a student permit while I am here in Canada? Hope someone can help me here.. Thanks

If the course / courses / program you want to take is more than six months, then you need a study permit.
But if I do process a student permit, can I do it here in Canada or do I have to go home first to my country of origin?
Yes, you can apply from within Canada. At first you need to find a suitable program and institution and get the acceptance letter.....you might also need IELTS/CLBA test score.
