Hi everyone,

I'm currently holding a study permit for an applied degree program at a Designated Learning Institution (DLI) in Canada. Recently, I registered for the CPA Professional Education Program (CPA PEP) offered by CPA Western School of Business (CPAWSB), which is also a DLI. CPAWSB allowed me to register after I sent them a copy of my study permit, so I initially thought everything was okay.

However, I’m now a bit confused about whether enrolling in CPA PEP constitutes a change of school, and if so, what steps I need to take to remain compliant with my study permit conditions. I'm still registered as a full-time student in my original degree program at the other DLI.

Should I be concerned about violating any study permit rules by being enrolled in both programs simultaneously? Do I need to inform Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) about this situation? If there is a risk of violating the rules, would it be better for me to withdraw from the CPA PEP to avoid any issues?

Thank you!
