Why show the admission letter which he applied with to get the visa in the first place when he can just show the new admission letter and get the study permit? I have seen students here who did the same (also deferred admission) and the IO did not even ask them about anything other than the normal conversation. Plus the embassy's reply is kinda reassuring
Do you have any info about someone who faced troubles at the POE because of that?

Have you landed yet? Please share your experience!

Alright so i got in without any issues.the visa officer didnt even flinch at my situation, it was completely normal. so yeah go ahead, we're in the clear.

This is awesome! The embassy in my country was right! but I was worried when you didn't reply fast! well, congrats dude and have a blast!
Can you tell me which airport you got your study permit issued at?

Dear friends, I applied in June, 2013 and CHC issued me a TRV and a Letter of Introduction late in September for the August, 2013 intake. As the classes have already started, I am forced to withdraw from the program and defer classes to next academic year starting July 2014. The university will send me an updated Letter of Admission in December 2013. The validity date on both my TRV (on my passport) and LOI is 09 Aug, 2014. My question is whether I can leave for Canada next year with the TRV and LOI that are already issued to me, say 2-3 month in advance of their expiry which is 9-AUG-2014? Or will I have to send my passport back to the CHC for a renewal of TRV and/or LOI by myself? I would appreciate if someone could provide some advice on the best course of action to take. Thanks.

Have you tried contacting the Canadian embassy in your country?

Did you tell them that you want to change the university? or you just showed the admission letter from the new university without explaining?
