Can I start a new study program when I am in implied status

Hi guys...
I applied for study permit extension before my study permit expired on nov 30th. Now I am on implied status. My next program at a different college starts on jan 6th. But my study permit extension will be approved by January end its showing. So, will i be able to join the new program when I am in implied status? Please answer me if you have any idea of this situation... ?
