Can I Sponsor My Spouse into while Staying in Canada on Open Work Permit?

Hello Everyone,

I am living in Ontario, Canada and I have open work permit which is valid for next two and half years.
I am permanently employed(full-time) with an organization from last 5 months.
I want to know if I can sponsor my spouse while I am staying in Canada on open work permit?

If yes, may I ask which forms I need to fill-out and what is the processing time?

No - you cannot sponsor your spouse. Only Canadian citizens and permanent residents can sponsor their spouses.

However it may be possible for your spouse to come here as a visitor or even obtain a work permit. I would recommend you join the discussions in the Foreign Worker section of this forum for more information:
