Can i sponsor my parents?

Hi everyone, i came canada a year ago as a permanent residence. I m not working because i m looking after my baby but my husband is working(own business). As i aware that cic going to take parents sponsorship applications from jan. 2014. So am i able to apply for my parents sponsorship? Or do i need to wait? What are the requirement to apply for sponsorship ?

You will have to meet the low income cut off minimums for three years to qualify. Your income and your husband's income can be combined.

Just to add... Your combined income needs to meet LICO for the last three years and you must provide Canadian Tax Returns for three years to prove you meet this requirement. Based on your past history, it looks like you and your husband only moved to Canada earlier this year. If that's the case, you'll need to wait another few years before you qualify to sponsor your parent (you'll need to wait until you've filed three years of income tax returns in Canada and meet LICO each of those years).
