Can i sponsor my husband? Need urgent reply

hi,
i m a new permanent resident of canada.. just landed for the first time here in quebec on 15th august. I plan to go back to my country (Pakistan) after i receive my permanent resident card which i havent' received yet and is in process. i will get married in pakistan and then plan to come back within 3-5 months to canada and sponsor my husband for permanent resident.
My question is;
1. Will i be eligible to sponsor my husband? as i would just live 3,5 months with him.? please help me through this.
2. How long would be the processing time for this sponsorship application?
3. What is the income requirement i would need to show to prove i can afford our living here (only me and my husband)?

Congrats on your recent landing!

1. You can sponsor your husband once you have the legal document that says you are officially married (marriage certificate, etc).
2. Applicants from Pakistan used to get processed at the Islamabad office which has long timelines but I think they have been transferring some cases to London so I'm not sure what the recent timelines are. You may want to check some of posts in the Islamabad threads for an update
3. There is no specific income requirement. The key thing is to not go on welfare.
