I am driving from Texas to land at Couttes, then on to Ft St John, BC to live. I am importing my car and will take a week or more to drive there. But don't know the exact date I will cross the border since driving so far and can only guess. Also it will be late in May over the holiday weekend. So I thought I should go ahead and fax my RIV paperwork two weeks before the holiday just to be sure it's there in enough time due to the three day advance notice requirement. Please share your thoughts on this.

Do the B4 form have to be done online or can it be handwritten?

Does anyone know if it's ok to import down filled pillows?

My cats will have rabi shots but not other shots as they become to ill to have the shots..am I correct that from USA to Canada rabi shots are the only requirement?

Thanks.

RIV is not the one that requires the 72 hour notice. That is the US export or CBP that needs 72 hours notice.

B4 should be fine if it's hand written, provided its legible.

I didn't have a problem with my pillows, so you should be OK.

Cat only needs to have rabies, other vaccinations shouldn't be necessary. If it is required to have more, they usually give you a stipulate length of time to find a vet in Canada and have it tended to. I wouldn't worry about it if I were you, rabies is the big one they want.
