Hi everyone,
I was nominated through the OINP under the Employer Job Offer – Foreign Worker Stream. A few weeks ago I received my eCOPR and my permanent residence has been confirmed. I have not yet received my PR cards (I know this can take time for the photo/address validation), but my understanding is that permanent resident status begins from the issuance of the eCOPR, not from receiving the physical cards.
My question is: I’m quite tired of the employer who sponsored me and I now have the opportunity to move to a better job. Since I already have my eCOPR, can I resign without fear of losing my permanent residence status?
Thanks for any advice or shared experiences.
