Can I land in Toronto first and land in Vancouver later?

I have got the study permit and my University is in British Columbia, Vancouver. My friend is in Toronto. Can I land in Toronto first to meet her or I must land in Vancouver?

Assume you know you must complete immigration landing formalities in Toronto as the flight to Vancouver is domestic.
