Hi All

I am a US Citizen and working from home and some times traveling to the client sites . I'd say I am 50% on the road . I love Canada and I am going to apply to PR as a skilled worked . Can I keep my job in US after getting my PR in Canada . Does Canada law mandate that the PR works for a Canadian company ?

Thanks

no, you can work for anyone i think but there is residency requirements to keep your PR.

Yes, 2 out of 5 years you need to live in Canada to keep PR. It can be cumulative like 4 months out of a year or any other combination as long as you are not outside Canada for more than 1095 days in any 5 year period. If you will be travelling a lot, it would be helpful to keep records of your trips outside Canada with proof if you can so if your residency if ever in question, you can prove it. If you don't already have a Nexus card, you might want to get one to make your border crossings easier.
