Can I include my parents in PR application Under CEC?

Hi Guys,


Applying for PR under CEC within Canada, my parents are back home in India, question is can I include their name in my PR application , if yes does that mean if I receive PR they do as well?

No, you can't include them.

Parental sponsorship isn't all too common, the government obviously seems them as a burden on the healthcare system, etc (imo quite rightly, even if I wouldn't mind my parents living here too).

No, you can't. For CEC, "family members" that can be included on the application are your spouse and children only.
