Can I include my father's dependent sister in Parents Sponsorship

Hi guys,

I had applied for PR for my parents (Mom and Dad) + my dad's dependent sister last year in Sept 2018. I just received an email from CIC saying my Aunt does not meet the definition of a dependent child under Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations section 2. She has been removed from the application.

I checked my application IMM0008 and saw I had selected "Type C Dependent" in the Dependent Type question (no. 12 in the form) for her.

My parents cant leave my old Aunt behind and come and live with me here in Canada. My aunt is unmarried, uneducated, physically disabled (partially) and 100% depends on my parents for everything.

Is there a way I can invite her along with my parents? Thank you so much for taking the time to help.

No - unfortunately there is no way to include your aunt in the PR application. If your parents wish to move to Canada, they will have to do so without your aunt and make arrangements in their home country for someone to take care of your aunt.

Thanks for the reply. What about a separate application for my Aunt? Is that possible? Like a "De facto dependent" as stated here https://ccrweb.ca/en/psr-toolkit/application-refugees-include-in-application-1 ?

No - this doesn't apply to the family sponsorship class. The link you've provided is to the refugee program.

There is no way to include your aunt in your parents' application and no way for you to sponsor her for PR separately.
