I work in the US and almost have my US green card, but not yet. So, I applied for a Canada visitor visa as I have an urgent situation, and I need to be there this week. I did my online application a while ago and my biometrics as well. I have not heard back since then. Would driving to the border and explaining my situation to the officers there help? As all that I need to expedite my visa. Has anyone been, or know, someone who had the same situation? Thank you.

No. You cannot get a TRV at the border. IRCC issues the TRV not CBSA (border officers).

TRV applications cannot be processed at the border. Driving to the border will not help in any way.
