Can I extend a OWP from IEC?

Is it possible to extend a open work permit from IEC (working holiday)?. I recently got a position at a company but my OWP expires in December and I would really like to extend my work permit to be able to stay in Canada.

I can apply for another visa through IEC (Young Professional) but if I don't want to go through IEC again is it possible to just extend my current OWP?

I work and live in Quebec I should add.

If you don't want to (or can't) go through IEC again, then you will have to convert to a closed work permit. To convert to a closed work permit, your employer will have to obtain an approved Labour Market Opinion. The LMO process can take several months so I would start a good 4 months (maybe even more) before your IEC expires.

Thank you very much for your answer! Thats exactly what I wanted to know. I have the opportunity to go through IEC one more time and thats what I will do. I was just curious to whether its possible to extend an OWP without having to file an LMO.
