Can I do my Medicals in my Home Country?

Hello Guys,

I am an April applicant. I am expecting my medicals somewhere around Jan or Feb 2014. But I am traveling to India (home country) for 5 weeks in Jan.

Wondering if I get a Medical Request while i am in India, will i be able to do it there? Is it acceptable?

yes, it is acceptable. u can complete ur medical wherever u are. make sure the medical practitioner is approved by immigration canada and take ur medical immigration forms with u

Yes you can do it. Visit any DMP on the list.

Yes you can with cic registered doctor

You can do the medicals with any cic approved panel physician.

yes you can do medicals anywhere in the world there is a DMP.however i just want to say do not expect medical request around jan or even feb if you are an april applicant,cpp-ottawa still sendind medical request for dec and jan applicants currently.
so most likely you will get your medicals done in canada.

Hello Guys,

Luckily/ by the grace of God I received my medicals, rprf and biodata request today. I will do it over the weekend. I am going on a vacation end of December and coming back 1st week of Feb.
Wondering, what if I receive passport request while I am in India? I have already booked my tickets.
How long is the process after medical rprf and biodata?

It totally depends when cic gets your medical results and the average time for PPR after medical is 15 days to 10 months.
