Hello,

Posted this in the wrong forum, so reposting here.

My IEC Visa expires early November. I have applied for CEC Express Entry and also BOWP, current awaiting R10 on my Express Entry so the bridging Visa can be processed. Likely the bridging Visa won't be approved til December earliest based on waiting times mentioned on these forums.

I was always under the impression that I could work still on implied status with my expired SIN until I get the bridging Visa at least and et a new SIN. However have read recently that this might not be the case and therefore I might be screwed.

Can anybody confirm any of this so I don't have a mental breakdown (or maybe do depending on the answer!)

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the link, but here is my query with this.

Does Express Entry count as a work permit?Technically it is a different type of work permit, and not an extension of my work permit (As IEC cannot be extended), so don't know if I fall in to that second category of not being able to work. All very confusing to me...
