If you want to switch it, you are going to have to cancel your application now and then fill out all the paperwork again, and get the medical done again (as the forms are different).

Also - you can keep having an outland application even if your husband is visiting and he is in Canada on a temporary visa, it doesn't matter - he can still apply outland.

If you are going to withdraw, do it quickly. If you withdraw before they have started processing, you get the application fee back. Otherwise, you'll lose the application fee.

Medical forms: I'm not sure that's true any longer, since they changed the way medicals work November 1, 2012. Both are excessive demand exempt, so they should be willing to use them (heck, I found my EDE results showed up on my FSW application, which is definitely not EDE.)
