Hi
I did't applied for post-graduation work permit (PGWPP) within 90 days of completion of my Two year graduation to fulfill my obligation to study full time and dependent on my parents in Family Class sponsorship file. But, i applied for extension of study permit and its approved. Today, is 91st day for applying work permit and my 90 days are expired for applying work permit. Today, I also received a letter from CIC that i am expelled from Family sponsorship case for some reason. Now I want to apply for work permit. Is it possible that i can get a PGWPP with new extended study permit? or Can I change my study permit to work permit with giving reason that i did not applied it for fulfilling my family case obligation. I will appreciate you guys for suggesting me a right path. I am so confused and worried. Thanks.

You should have applied for the PGWP within 90 days of your graduation. I think it's too late now.

If you have found an employer and that employer can obtain an approved Labour Market Opinion, then it would be better for you to apply for a Closed Work Permit.

If you apply for a PGWP instead, I think it's extremely likely it will be refused.

Thanks. I really appreciate your feedback. I was thinking same. Yeah, I will not apply for the work permit. I am not sure that they will give me work permit on the reasons that i got approval on extension of study permit application on the last date (90th day) for apply work permit, I am not without status n in past also, i got decision on family case on 91st day to apply for work permit, i was fulfilling my Family case obligation truthfully, 2 year study with 3.44 GPA, and paid all fees. Its strange and happened so quickly. Today, was not a happy n good new year eve for me. Happy New Year.
