I need urgent help to this:

I would be landing next week and want to know if I can bring the landing funds for myself in the form of Pre-Paid Credit Card of an Indian Bank? The bank has also issued a certificate of the amount in the cards.

I took this option thinking that it is easy to use the money and transfer it but don't know if it would be acceptable at the airport.

CIC does not insist for funds in credit or debit card form.

The funds should be in the form of cash, certified check, demand draft, traveller's check, or transfer direct to the bank in Canada in your account. Otherwise you could convince the immigration officer at the landing airport, which I cannot explain how. A well preferred method for new immigrant is bring few thousand of Canadian currency and the rest as a demand draft payable in Canada.

I think the bank will benefit more than you, if you buy a prepaid credit card
