Hello there,

I am planing on opening a specialty dessert shop in Toronto, i have the money and the skills to manage the shop;however, i would like to bring a professional chef that i know of. He is very professional and experienced.

One of the LMIA requirements is that the business must be active and filed, and they need some CRA records, so i wonder if there is solution for avoiding this.

I mean, i can register the business, but i won't be able to start it without him. Is there a way for new businesses to bring foreigner workers ?

Thank you

This doesn't in any way help the OP. The OP has asked a very specific question regarding the ability of start up businesses to qualify for an LMIA.

There's no way to avoid this. You must have a business running for a few years and filed corporate taxes in order to qualify for LMIA. Its one of the major requirements listed.

Technical doable if you seriously need someone to lead in to the capacity while it cannot be filled with Canadian candidates. Basically, credibility of the business will be tested for the job offer to be proven legit. So documents to credify the operation of your business would be crutial.

hmmm, Do you guys think it is possible to send an invitation letter for business/visitor visa and explain in the letter that i need him to train my employees ?
I mean i could at least create four jobs opportunities in my local community.

Or could i grant LMIA exemption under significant benefit code ? Isn't creating jobs is significant ?
