can i ask them to send my passport to another mail address?

Hello Guys,

I just have a quick question and would be thankful if someone can answer me.
I have my lawyer's address as the primary address on my file , yesterday i got a passport request . I woild like to send my passport directly to Ottawa and put my Home address on the return envelope. Would that work? Or will they have their suspicions and send passports to the lawyers address?!
It just save me much time and $$$$$ to send directly to Ottawa.

Yes , It will come to the address put on return envelope ,
I had different address in my CIC file and passport send back as per return envelope.

And hiw long did it take from you sending the passport till you got it back? If i send it tomorrow , would i get it back before Thursday 5th ofMarch?

I sent on 11th Feb and got it back on 17th Feb , So 5th March may be possible for you.

Sounds so great . I will risk it and give it a try. Can you please tell me what u put in the envelope? And was the address they had online your lawyer's address?

In the envelope i had put

Original Passports,
A covering letter saying i am submitting my passports for VISA stamping with my app no and other details....
Copy of the passport request email from CIC,
Self addressed(my current address) Canada post prepaid return envelope.

- Address on my CIC file is my friend's address , He is my non-paid representative for my PR application, He is not a lawyer.

- Also today while landing i have given my current address for sending PR card

Congrats on your PR!! Finally you are done. I felt sorry for you comimg back fr the border without a PR status or explanation.. but this is over now
