Hi,

My parents are in India and I'm in Canada. It is difficult to get the representative form signed, scanned and emailed, printed and scanned again.
Can it be a problem if I apply using their account in Canada, while they are in india?
I mean, does cic track IP addresses or can know from where is it transmitted?

Regards
Robin

You can create their online account and manage it like as if your dad is managing it.

Not sure, if IRCC tracks IP addresses. That said, their applications will be considered as India apps because of their current address is in India

Thanks Byanna, I have another question.
As my parents's visa has got refused and I'm applying again. One of my very trusted friends suggested me to apply for one parent first and when it gets approved, then after a month apply for the second parent. What do you suggest, should I apply both their visas together or separately?

That strategy would depend on the professional/personal circumstances of your parents. You may want to share a few more details so that it's easier to advise

You shouldn't have any issues as I also did the same for my mum. Got approved just last week. Although I did fill out the Authorization to Release Personal Information form just because I can change my mum's address but just typed in the name on the signature line instead of physically signing it.

The representative form IMM5713E says that: "This form is used for all the family members who wish to apply together in one mycic submission".
Do I need to fill this form if I'm applying for both my parents using my father's account?

No, this form does not apply to you. You are not a TRV applicant who is applying with your parents.

It could be filled if your dad is authorized by your mom to represent her

Thanks for your response.
Yes, I'm using my father's MyCIC account to submit the application for both my parents. Should I get my mother filled and signed this form to authorize my father to apply on her behalf?

She can even submit the IMM 5476 (Use of representative)
