Can I apply for work permit while my spouce immigration is under process?

Hello All,
My question is can I apply for Canadian work permit while my spouce immigration application is under process? I work for one big MNC and they asked me if I want to apply Canadian Work permit.
I am not sure if this will effect my Spouce immigration in good or bad way. PLease advise.

You can apply for a work permit, If your current employer is willing to do a work permit for you, go for it! it's separate from the Spousal process and won't affect your application. If anything, it will allow you to live with your spouse, which is always a good proof of relationship for CIC, and it will make the process easier on you, as you won't have to wait for your PR to go to Canada.
