Hi,

I just got my AINP nomination and was wondering if I can apply for PR through the nomination and also as a CEC at the same time?

will they reject the applications if they know that I have applied for PR through two different categories?

PS. I want to apply through CEC because if AINP doesn't work then I can rely on CEC.

Thanks

Yes, you can apply to both programs, but if you already have your AINP, then that will likely be processed much faster (with a higher likelihood of success) than CEC. But yes, you may apply to more than one program, if you don't mind the extra processing fees (no refund). Once either application reaches the approval stage, you will withdraw the other.

Hi,
Can I apply for PR through Québec Experience Class (Programme de l'expérience québécoise - PEQ) -
and Canadian Experience Class at the same time?
Thanks,
CLIPPER

AINP will be safer and faster but in that case you have obligation to settle in Alberta while CEC there is not such.

you can compare the processing times at your VO through cic.gc.ca.

Hi ainpfamily,

how long do I have to stay in alberta if they give me PR based on AINP?

you may have to justify that you did what ever you can to establish in Alberta but couldn't able to.

they take your intent, too, very seriously. please see below.

In my personal opinion it should be atleast 6 months.

can governement reject your permanent residency if you stay less than 6 months?
