hi I'm a Sri lankan.i have got a job in Canada as a caregiver and nanny,i came to know that after working for two years in the following position i can apply for PR in Canada,my problem is that I'm separated from my husband and have a daughter who is 4 years.I wish to be separated from my husband than applying for a divorce.i would like to know about the following.
1)because I'm separated can i apply for PR
2) Can i apply PR for myself and my daughter only after 2 years.
3)what are the obligations that i would have to face while applying for PR since I'm separated

please help me I'm confused and i don't wont to miss this opportunity that i have got.

If you explain that you and your husband are separated, you do not have to include him in your PR application. To include your daughter when you are separated from your husband, you must prove that you have full custody of your daughter.

Hi Leon

thank you for replying,if i submit a legal separation certificate, will that be sufficient.what kind of documents will i require to show custody over my daughter.
