Can I apply for PGWP while my TRV application is still in progress?

I had applied for TRV on April 13, since my study permit extension had recently been approved. However, I am about to graduate soon, and am planning to apply for my PGWP in the first week of May. In case my TRV application is not processed by then (due to the recent IRCC employees strike) can I submit my PGWP application as well or do I have to wait for my previous application to be processed before submitting another one?

TRV and PGWP has nothing to do with each other. I think you're good to proceed. But not the other way round (applying for TRV while PGWP is in process).

@VishnuJ2796 thanks for your reply. You're right, my only concern is that I applied for the TRV as a student but my status as a student will no longer be applicable once I graduate.
