Can I apply for express entry with Passport validity ending March 31, 2016?

Hello there,
My passport is valid until march 31st, 2016.
Can I submit an express entry profile with my current passport?
Should I go prolong it now?
Alternatively, what will happen if I get an ITA, say, in December-January with my current passport and then I get issued a new one in March 2016?

Do you think that's gonna be a problem?

On the contrary, I will advise you renew you passport now, because you barely have 5 months left before expiration.
