I've been on an open work permit since the beginning of July 2015 and having a full time job since mid/end of July. My husband got a job transfer from Ontario to Alberta and I had to quit my job on April 14, 2016 to move. I have been steadily looking for work, applying every day and going to the few interviews that have come up, but I haven't been hired anywhere as of yet. Am I eligible for employment insurance and will it affect my permanent residence application?
